July Monitor water needs for all plants.  Cacti and succulents may appear wrinkled or yellow if stressed for water.  Water carefully.  Both over-watering and under watering are the leading causes of death for lanscape plants in the Valley. Fertilize established Bermuda hybrid lawns with one-half pound of actual nitrogen and 6 ounces of iron per 1,000 square feet about every six weeks.  Irrigate in the early morning for best results.
