August Monitor your plants' water needs.  If monsoon rains are heavy, cut back on irrigation.  Non-native plants can suffer from iron chlorosis this time of year.  It's recognized by new leaves turning yellow and having conspicuous green veins.  If symptoms appear and soil moisture seems appropriate, apply iron chelates or ferrous sulfate.
